Lenten Lunches

LENTEN LUNCHES TO NOURISH YOUR BODY AND SOUL

Lenten Lunches begin on Wednesday, February 21, beginning at Noon. We will continue having soup, bread, cake, coffee, tea, or water. We have raised the price this year to $4 because of the increase in prices of both food and other items needed. Again this year you will enter through the Narthex door, where Mr. Mattey will collect the $4, when you can enter the back of the church to the Social Hall to get your cake and find a seat at one of the tables.

Here is a list of the speakers for the Lenten Lunches:

March 13th Pastor Phillip Smith, Emmanuel Mt. Zion Lutheran Parish, Nuremberg

March 20th Pastor Debra Hebden, St. Paul’s UMC, Drums

March 27th – Rev. Gene Boyer, Black Creek UMC, Sugarloaf

April 3rd – Rev. Earl Roberts, UMC, Lattimer

April 10th – Rev. JoAnne Young, Executive Director, Hazleton Enlarged Ministries

April 17th – TBA

Please join us to nourish your body and soul.

Covered Dish and Talent Show

Save the Date!  Sunday, March 10, 5:00 PM

The Covered Dish and Talent Show is drawing near! We still have room for more talent!

Here is a sneak peek at some who have signed up for the show!

The Wiley Family, The Bicking Family, Les Shupp, Autumn Mumich, and of course, Pastor Cheryl! There are several others that we are working on to participate, also.

We know there are others out there who have talents that they are keeping under wraps, and we would appreciate more participating in this fun event.

We promise you will have a great time at this event!  Please see Heidi or Jacque if you will share your talent!

PS: It doesn’t have to be serious, it can be funny, a reading, a skit, or anything of the like.
