Sunday School’s Mission Project for the months of September and October is the Baby Boutique at The Pregnancy Resource Center in Hazleton. A list of items needed and baby cradle to place them in is located at the entrance to the social hall. Please consider donating to this important mission project

The coupon is good for 25% off most goods but there are some exceptions. See Jacque for the $5.00 coupon that is good at all Boscov’s stores. You may also purchase the coupon at our allotted space in Boscov’s or from Heidi in our Church Office.
Trunk or Treat will take place on October 31st 6:00-8:00. If you would like to be a part of this year’s trunk-or-treat, please sign up in the social hall. Candy donations are much needed and there is a box located in the social hall for that as well. You can bring your car to decorate, or just come dressed up and wander around handing out candy, talking with kids, and being with your church community. Please contact Beth Yost with any questions.

Rally Day/”Thirst for Creation” will be on Sunday, September 9th at 9:15 am. Humphrey the camel will be here! Children and youth will personally get to meet Humphrey and learn a bit about how God uniquely created him. During worship service Pastor Cheryl will be Blessing Backpacks, anyone attending school this year, whether as a student, teacher or volunteer is encouraged to bring your backpack or school notebooks, etc. Following worship service, we will enjoy fun and fellowship with a Pot Luck Lunch, please bring your favorite dish to share.
It’s time to begin our Plastic Mat Ministry! So far, we have donated eight mats to Catholic Social Services to be given to the homeless in the Hazleton Area. We meet at 11:00 am, on the second and fourth Thursday of each month. Bring your lunch and help in this worthwhile project.
Sisters will begin again on September 4th at 10:00 am. They will be watching and studying a 4-week DVD series by Andy Stanley entitled “Address the Mess”. Women of all ages are invited, please join us and bring a friend!
The Prayer Shawl Ministry will begin meeting once again on the 6th of September. We meet the first and third Thursday of each month from 9:30 -11:30 am, in our church library. We are an amiable group of ladies who either knit or crochet prayer shawls for those needing comfort. If you would like to join us and don’t know how to knit, that’s OK, we will teach you! Hey!! You men out there!! You are not excluded! Hope to see you all on the 6th.
After a two-month summer break, Religious Studies folks are ready to get back to working and learning. This fall we begin the study of The World’s Greatest Churches. If you, like many of us, love the idea of traveling to see and learn about these famous edifices, why not join us? Beginning Wednesday, September 5th at 10:00 am.
Drive Thru Chicken Bar B Q will be held on October 6th from noon until 5:00 pm. $10.00 included ½ chicken, baked potato, applesauce, roll, butter and dessert. Tickets will be available after Worship Service. Please consider taking a few to sell to your friends and family!
